MEET CARRIE

Experience, connection, and openness

I earned my Master of Social Work from Boston College in 1998 and have spent nearly 30 years accompanying people through the complexities of their lives.

My understanding of therapy has continued to grow throughout those years.

I bring clinical training, experience, and ongoing education to my work. I also bring an appreciation for how much we continue to learn through living our own lives.

Parenting, relationships, loss, change, and personal growth have deepened my understanding of the experiences we share as human beings, even as each of us experiences them differently.

How I approach our work

I believe you're the expert on your own life.

My role is to bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, compassion, and perspective to a relationship where we can explore your experiences together.

I'm an engaged therapist. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback and practical tools when they're helpful. I can be gentle and direct, and I believe humor can have a place in therapy, too.

After nearly three decades of practice, I've learned the importance of meeting each person with openness, without assuming I already know what they need. I value the trust that develops in the therapeutic relationship and the space it creates for honest conversations, new perspectives, and meaningful change.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

Outside of my work

I completed my undergraduate studies in Vermont and moved to Massachusetts to attend graduate school at Boston College. I never left!

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in my garden with my beloved cat Champ nearby, walking in the woods, practicing yoga, and learning to paint. I'm also a mom to two young adults who mean the world to me.
